PvZ Lawn Sun Guide: Economy Tips That Actually Work
Every lost level in PvZ Lawn traces back to the economy. You did not lose because your aim was bad; you lost because wave three arrived while you were still broke. Sun management is the whole game, so here is how to run it.
The opening that wins day levels
First sun drop: plant a sunflower, not a peashooter. Second: another sunflower. Your first shooter goes down only when zombies are one tile from your sunflowers or when you have two sunflower columns running. This feels slow and wrong the first time; by wave three you will be rich while the greedy player is overrun.
How many sunflowers is right
Two full columns (10 sunflowers) is the standard for day levels. One column starves you mid-game; three columns delays your army too long. The exception is the conveyor-belt stage, where economy does not exist and the rule does not apply.
Night economy: sun-shrooms
At night the sky gives nothing, so sun-shrooms replace sunflowers. Plant them early because they start small and grow: a sun-shroom planted on wave one out-earns one planted on wave three by a wide margin. Puff-shrooms cost nothing, so they defend while your shrooms mature.
Stop wasting sun
Three habits to kill: cherry-bombing single zombies, replanting wall-nuts at full health out of panic, and banking 1000+ sun with no plan. Sun in the bank is sun doing nothing. Spend on the right plants for the wave ahead, and watch your cooldowns so spending lines up with availability.
